Nickel Steamroller 2.0 Launches With Support for Both Lending Club and Prosper Investors

For more than two years now Nickel Steamroller (NSR) has been the leading resource site for Lending Club investors. But for Prosper investors Prosper Stats has been the goto site. Last night, in what is certainly the biggest development for serious p2p investors in a long time, NSR 2.0 launched with the best of both these worlds.

A Complete Lending Club and Prosper Resource

There are so many great things to say about NSR 2.0 I barely know where to begin. For a start, Michael Phillips, the founder of Nickel Steamroller, has teamed up with Rocco, the founder of Prosper Stats, to provide a one stop resource for investors in the two leading p2p lenders. There is complete filtering and analysis available now for both platforms in the one place. Analyzing the loan history for both Lending Club and Prosper is vastly improved and that in itself is easily the most extensive tool ever created for retail investors.

I have been using the beta of NSR 2.0 for a couple of weeks now and I really believe it is a game changer. I love having all my filters for both Lending Club and Prosper in the one place. There is also way more data to inquire on than ever before. Because it is using the APIs of Lending Club and Prosper the data available for filtering is more extensive than what either platform provides for their retail investors. Not only that but you can download your portfolio for both Lending Club and Prosper – while that feature has been possible on Lending Club for years it has never been available for Prosper investors until now.

Auto-Invest is Coming for Lending Club and Prosper

[Update: An earlier version of this article indicated that the auto-invest feature was live. That was a misunderstanding on my part. The intention is to make it live at some point but it is not live yet.]

Once you create an account at NickelSteamroller.com you can enjoy all the features of NSR 2.0. You can take advantage of the huge number of filtering options and you can then save these filters for later use. Eventually, you will be able to use these filters to setup an auto-invest.

Even without the auto-invest feature NSR 2.0 has the most features of any resource site out there. And I love the fact that I can do all my analysis on the one site. This evolution of Nickel Steamroller is a welcome improvement for all serious individual investors.

This is a fantastic development for those investing in P2P lending, and what I would consider to be a must use resource. Thank Michael and Rocco for putting a tremendous amount of work and development into this resource.

So how do I see the estimated RoR like I could with NSR v1?

Basically, what is the replacement to a view like
    https://v1.nickelsteamroller.com/lendingclub_invest?dir=desc&order=roi
    ?

    Maybe I’m missing something obvious.

@G A. The blog post on our site covered this. It was removed while we tweak it and make improvements, we want to expand the coefficients we use to make the results better.

We have a list of requests coming in. I will try to take a stab it it tonight. Check back tomorrow.

Shouldn’t you disclose your business relations when praising a product?

RawRaw, I completely agree and I would have done so if there was any formal business relationship. Michael and I have talked previously about going into business together but nothing was ever formalized. So, I have no vested interested in the success of Nickel Steamroller.

You can’t download the data from NSR to my knowledge, but you can do so from both Lending Club and Prosper directly (make sure you are logged in when you download):
      https://www.lendingclub.com/info/download-data.action
      https://www.prosper.com/invest/download.aspx
