Watch the Videos from LendIt 2014 in San Francisco

The LendIt 2014 Conference was attended by over 950 people in San Francisco in early May. We also had several thousand people watching the live stream as we broadcast all the main sessions online for free.

But most people, myself included, didn’t get to see everything they wanted. The good news is that we recorded everything – both all the main sessions and our second track featuring company demos and presentations. And now, after several weeks of editing we have all the videos available for viewing.

Main Session Videos

Above is the video of the opening keynote at LendIt 2014 by Renaud Laplanche, CEO and founder of Lending Club.

Below is a list with links to the videos on Youtube from all the keynotes, panels and presentations in chronological order. They are also listed in their own playlist on YouTube.

Videos from the Company Demos and Workshops

While the main sessions were happening in the large ballroom we had a second track downstairs featuring company demos and workshops. I am not listing every one of these videos here because there are almost 50 videos in total, but you can see them all in this playlist on YouTube.

Our goal with the Company Demos and Workshops track was to highlight many of the companies that are up and coming as well as those more established players. By watching these videos you will get a more complete sense of the infrastructure developing in this industry.

Kudos to Gene Massey and the team at Mediashares for all their hard work in producing these professional videos.

If you want to read a quick summary of the main developments at the conference you should read my wrap up of LendIt 2014 here.

This was a fantastic video. It was very insightful to hear directly and in-depth from Mr. LaPlanche. I thought his presentation was interesting, particularly the segment on incorporating bank capital into the Lending Club model. As a small retail investor, I think Lending Club has done a good job at making sure that institutional investors don’t completely crowd out the little guy. I do hope that as Lending Club and Prosper expand that they can strike the right balance of growth while still not forgetting their “roots”.

I think Lending Club has done a good job in striking a balance between the retail and the institutional investors, particularly in recent months. Small investors have hundreds of loans to choose from at any one time. Prosper is moving that direction as well. After focusing mostly on institutional investors over the last 18 months, Prosper are now getting their platform more in balance.
