Transferwise to Launch Investment Offering in the UK

Transferwise has obtained a license from the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority to offer retail investments to clients; while Transferwise has been primarily focused on international payments it has been starting to push into banking; in 2018 it started offering a borderless multi-currency bank account tied to a debit card; this new UK offering will allows users to invest passively in investment funds from third-party providers; TransferWise said it expects to launch its first investing feature in the next 12 months in the UK and hopes to roll out this feature to other regions after that.
