The Cash App Opted to Leverage TikTok For Their Latest Ad Campaign

The Cash App is a consumer finance app owned by Square; the company opted to take a different approach to their latest campaign using influencer marketing, paying dozens of creators to promote their app; according to Business Insider they were able to drive 136.5 million video views with their hashtag and generated 9,600 paid and organic videos; the article also shares what the Cash App sent to creators for possible ideas including “Making fun of how broke you are” or “When your friend clearly owes you money”; another fintech company called Tally has also had success on TikTok, reporting that the ads on TikTok are 300% more efficient than Instagram ads.
