Square Is On a Roll Despite the Crisis

Ron Shevlin digs into Square and why the company and its stock price continues to do very well; he looks at the three core components of Square: payments, Cash App and Square Capital; Shevlin explains why he thinks Square is a bigger threat to banks than Amazon or Google, arguing that the big tech companies are looking to become more distribution channels for banks rather than competitors; many consumers are starting to do their banking with Square and their offerings are going head to head with banks; it will not be smooth sailing for Square as they have PayPal as a direct competitor and the move to contactless payments is one that puts Square at a disadvantage.
