Softbank in Talks to Invest in Brazilian Fintech Leader Nubank

Reuters is reporting that Softbank is in talks to invest in Nubank, the leading digital bank in Latin America; according to the financial blog Vox Softbank may invest as much as $1 billion valuing the firm at $10 billion; Nubank already has 8.5 million customers in Brazil but it is looking to expand, announcing last month it will open in Mexico soon; Nubank has received $400 million in equity funding to date in seven financing rounds from some of the leading tech investors.
