Real Estate Fintech Company Unison Cuts 50% of Team

Unison is a fintech company that helps homebuyers with a downpayment in exchange for benefiting from any appreciation in the home; they cut almost 50% of their team on Friday including sales and marketing employees, contractors and consultants; another company in the same space called Noah (formerly Patch Homes) is reporting that more homeowners are turning to them for help in these challenging times; some are skeptical that these shared equity businesses won’t be able to sustain the current crisis, but Julian Hebron writing in HousingWire makes a case for how these businesses will survive as they make necessary adjustments in the short term.
