Raisin Brings in $114mn as they Eye Expansion

German based Raisin has raised $114mn from Index Ventures and PayPal; the wealth tech startup helps customers find accounts with higher rates across the EU; Tamaz Georgadze, Raisin chief executive, said to the FT he wanted to create a “Schengen experience” for banking — comparing it to the EU’s passport-free travel zone; there was no further details on valuation but the company plans to use the new capital for strategic acquisitions and international expansion.
