Plastiq Closes a $75 Million Series D

Even amid the economic turmoil that is today’s world deals are getting done; Plastiq, a company that allows customers to use their credit cards to make bill payments, has closed a $75 million Series D bringing their total funding to date to $140 million; while it initially focused on the consumer market SMBs now account for 90% of their revenue as businesses manage cash flow by paying for more bills with a credit card; Plastiq charges a 2.5% fee for their service and is on track to make over $2 billion in transactions; many bills cannot be paid with a credit card so small business owners can use Plastiq to help manage short term cash flow shortages.
