New Report Endorses Mobile as Future of Banking but Branches Survive

Personal finance startup MX surveyed more than 1,000 consumers about the future of banking and found 70 percent believe mobile is the future of banking; only 7 percent say they would trust Apple of Google most with their financial data as most trust their financial data with banks and credit unions; when asked about what they wanted most from their financial institutions 39 percent of respondents said they wanted the best rates and 2 percent wanted the best branches; Facebook was the least desired tech company as all other big tech companies rated higher than the social media giant; While most respondents did not choose branches as one of their top choices they believe branches play a role today and will continue to do so in the future.
