LendIt Fintech Europe is happening next week and I wanted to share what we have in store for you this year. We are fresh off our USA event last month so we have learned a great deal about how to have a successful virtual event. The feedback we received was that, in many ways, a virtual event is even better than in-person. That has been our guiding principal as we put together these virtual events which is why we hired an Emmy Award-winning production crew to provide a first-class experience on top of the A-Grade content and networking opportunities.

The world of financial services has been turned upside down by the pandemic. Fintech has been front and center as the financial services industry has responded quickly to these changes. But the changes have only just begun and we all need to gather at this critical juncture to learn, collaborate and do business.

So, what can you expect at LendIt Fintech Europe 2020? Here is a run down of the different components of the show.

Networking

We know that many of you attend LendIt Fintech to meet with the people who matter to your business. This is where we have put in the most effort, making this virtual event better than any in-person event we’ve ever produced.

  • One-on-One meetings. Pre-schedule one-on-one meetings and view the complete attendee list using Brella’s world-class networking technology.
  • Networking Roulette. Let our algorithm match you for a series of spontaneous one-on-one meetings to close day one. This is serious fun for novice and expert networkers alike.
  • Overtime. Participate in lively discussions with your peers during Overtime at the conclusion of day two. Originally pioneered at LendIt Fintech Digital, Overtime has been a real hit for our community because of its authentic interface.
  • Women in Fintech Power Hour. Connect with impressive and interesting women during the lunch break on Day One. One of our most anticipated networking events of the year, just for you.

Solutions

Find the answers to your latest challenges in our Solutions Showcase featuring industry leading sponsors and exhibitors with great ideas to propel your business. At each virtual booth you can gather product information, chat with company reps, engage in in-depth discussions, view videos and more.

We also have a fun competition for attendees where you can become a LendIt Fintech All-Star. The most engaged attendees can win a new iPhone 12 Pro, AirPods and free memberships to LendIt Fintech Digital.

Content

We have put the agenda together over the last couple of months to ensure it is the most relevant for your business. I can confidently say this is our best keynote roster ever with some of the biggest names in fintech and banking participating. While I think every session is going to be great, here are some of the highlights I am most looking forward to:

  • Kristo Käärmann– CEO of TransferWise
There are few fintech companies in Europe that have shown rapid growth all the while maintaining several years of profitability. The industry needs to take their cue from TransferWise and learn how to build a sustainable fintech business.
  • Sunil Chandra – CEO of OakNorth
OakNorth has rewritten the rules for commercial lending while also building a profitable business. CEO Sunil Chandra, in the job now for a year, will share how commercial lending has been upended by the pandemic and what companies need to do to adapt.
  • Charlotte Crosswell – CEO of Innovate Finance
No one has a better view as to what is really happening in UK fintech than Charlotte Crosswell. As the head of the leading fintech association she sees what areas of fintech are struggling and where the opportunities are greatest.
  • Lisa Jacobs – Europe Managing Director of Funding Circle
Funding Circle has become a big part of the solution this year for UK SMEs. As a major player in the CBILS program they have helped a huge numbers of businesses through the pandemic. But what comes next? Lisa Jacobs discusses how this year we have seen a paradigm shift in SME lending.
