Karen Mills Provides a Look into Her Vision for Small Businesses

Karen Mills believes small business customers are not being served well by lenders and so she has decided to join Eastern Bank online lending spinoff Numerated Growth Technologies as an adviser and investor; “We’re excited to have Karen on board as an adviser because we look to surround ourselves with people who understand how banking and lending are done,” Numerated CEO DanO’Malley said to American Banker; Mills believes fintech firms have helped to provide access to capital in a more efficient way and banks are now taking some of those lessons in house or through partnerships; community banks serve a key purpose and adding technology will only help them to better serve customers they might not otherwise be able to.
