Get $25 from Mosaic for Investing in Solar This Holiday Season

Tis the season for gift giving and this week solar investing platform Mosaic started their Gift of Solar program. I first discussed Mosaic early this year and I have invested a small amount of money in a large solar project in New Jersey.

An investment with Mosaic is lower yield and longer term when compared with Lending Club and Prosper. Yields range from 4.5% to 7% and terms are typically 8-12 years. So far Mosaic has funded solar projects for schools, farms, utilities, apartment complexes, convention centers and even a Ronald McDonald House.

Mosaic is open to accredited investors nationwide as well as non-accredited investors in California. The Gift of Solar provides new investors with $25 to put towards a solar energy investment. The promotion is running through the end of the month.

Below is the fine print.

To be eligible for the $25 account bonus promotion you must open a new account via this promotion and invest on the Mosaic platform. The account bonus is available to new investors only; referrers and any other persons other than new investors will not receive, and are not eligible to receive, the account bonus or incentive of any kind related to this promotion. This promotion may be discontinued at any time without prior notice. By opening an account via this promotion you agree to the terms and conditions of this offer as described herein. Void in any jurisdiction where prohibited by applicable law. You should review the offering memorandum associated with each offering of Notes into which you invest prior to investing in any Notes. Past performance is no guarantee of future results.

The Director of Online Marketing at Mosaic used to work at Lending Club, so I know him quite well. He made up this nice graphic above for me to use in this post. I receive no financial reward whatsoever for this promotion, I am just spreading some good cheer this holiday season.
