Funding Circle Completes Seventh Securitization

Funding Circle’s latest securitization is their second securitization of US loans; The $252 million securitization (Small Business Lending Trust 2020-A (SBIZ 2020-A)) was oversubscribed and included 25 institutional investors with insurance companies, asset managers and pension funds participating; it included 1,930 loans and was rated by both Kroll and Moody’s; Moody’s noted in a pre-sale report that the portfolio was well diversified across different loans that aren’t too long though warned of risks that funds were only spread out across three sectors: services, healthcare and construction.
