Former bankers Antony Jenkins, Jonthan Larsen and Vikram Pandit all have found a great deal of success in moving into the fintech space; whether investing in or helping to build new companies these former bankers have found their new lives to be filled with intensity and excitement; not all bankers have had a successful transition, the FT interviewed more than a dozen former bankers and found mixed results; ordering business cards and building a website were some of the tasks that came as a surprise, most of these bankers have not had to do such tasks in 20 years; fintech is helping to transform financial services in many ways, in the last year we’ve seen a melding of the worlds with talent and technology becoming interchangeable.
