Fintech Funds Outperform Market in First Half of 2020

According to research from AltFi fintech funds have outperformed the market in the first half of 2020; AltFi’s research shows fintech funds have brought a return after fees of 18.23 percent, compared to 0.95 percent for global equities; AltFi’s list of funds include Augmentum Fintech, Wellington Fintech, Jupiter Financial Innovation, Axa Framlington Fintech and passive ETFs such as Global X Fintech Thematic; coronavirus has helped to accelerate the digital trend in financial services and many believe the changes taking place today will be long lasting; fintech as an asset class has been performing quite well in recent years, Wellington Fintech, which launched at the end of 2018, returned after fees 44.23 per cent in 2019.
