Financial Messaging App Symphony Raises $165mn

Wall Street financial messaging app Symphony has raised a fresh $165mn of capital valuing the company at $1.4bn; the new capital comes from Standard Chartered and MUFG Innovation Partners along with additional unnamed investors; investors in the app all use the service to communicate internally and with outside partners in a secure way; the company has 425,000 users across 400 companies, this is up from 200,000 users in 2017; the company plans to use the new funds to grow the platform organically and through acquisitions.
