Facebook along with their partners are contemplating a redesign of Libra; the changes could include the network accepting multiple coins, even those issued by central banks; they hope that the move would calm regulatory concerns and get more people onboard with the plans; at the outset Facebook’s Libra was slated to create one global digital currency; Dante Disparte, head of policy and communications for the Libra Association stated “The Libra Association has not altered its goal of building a regulatory compliant global payment network, and the basic design principles that support that goal have not been changed.” Payment Source
