European Central Bank Considering Higher Capital Requirements for Banks with Fintechs

The European Central Bank (ECB) is considering additional capital buffers to banks looking to incorporate fintech; the regulator says adding fintech to the bank will increase the potential for a volatile client base and the untested products will need a lot of capital; this is part of the recent draft licensing guidelines released by the ECB.
