Does Envestnet’s Size Make it Vulnerable

Envestnet has almost triple revenues in the last five years, in part because of their acquisition strategy; some are beginning to wonder if their size will end up making them vulnerable as the market continues to shift at a rapid pace; “When you become the primary vendor in the marketplace, it becomes excruciatingly hard to satisfy everyone,” says consultant Douglas Fritz to American Banker. “The reality is that more nimble, entrepreneurial and focused competitors are going to start taking market share.” Source.
