Customers Still Prefer to Open Bank Accounts at Branches

A new study by JD Power shows that most people, even digital first millennial customers, prefer to open bank accounts at the branch; the main driver behind this is a negative experience when trying to open an account online; customers reported the experience as confusing, even when adding a chatbot assistant the process did not improve; going into the branch allows customers to talk to staff and be guided through the process.
