Banks Still Aren’t Lending to Small Businesses

A new report is out from Oxford Economics which found that a decade after the financial crisis, small businesses are still neglected by traditional banks; not surprisingly small businesses have turned to non-bank lenders; the report is called Big Business of Small Business and was launched in partnership with Funding Circle; according to the report, banks continue to focus on lending to larger companies as commercial lending continues to grow; in 2018 32% of small businesses worked with online providers, up from 19% two years ago; the press release shares other highlights of the report and how Funding Circle is making a difference in the US.
