Bank of America Becomes First Big Bank to Start Accepting PPP Applications

Bank of America becomes the first of the big four banks to allow applications for the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP); it launched its portal for small business loans at 9am ET on Friday; JPMorgan Chase, Citi and Wells Fargo had still not launched portals yet as of this writing; Richard Hunt, head of the Consumer Bankers Association, told CNBC Thursday that banks are “moving heaven and earth to get a system in place and running to help America’s small businesses and the millions of men and women who work at them”.
