Bank M&A May Be Seeing a Resurgence

Since the financial crisis mergers and acquisitions by banks has reduced substantially. This has been a global trend that may be coming to end soon. The Financial Times is reporting that M&A chatter is heating up, particularly in Europe. In the US, with banks benefiting from deregulation M&A is becoming more of a consideration now. But before bank M&A can truly be said to be back, the recent trickle of small mergers will need to give way to a landmark big deal. Source.
